Dear Friends,
On February 25th, I leave for a two-week residency at the Akureyri Art Museum in Iceland, and I am preparing this week for this journey!
And I want to bring you with me!
During this residency I will be creating a small body of work, 12x16 and 16 x 20”, entirely on site, each piece painted within the walls of the museum or out in the wild landscape of Iceland, and under the influence of that landscape, each one carrying the energy of the place where it was born. These will not be recreations later. They will be made there, in real time, as I am living it!
Before I leave, I am opening the opportunity to pre-collect one of these works, before the first brushstroke has even touched the surface.
There is something thrilling about that to me, this shared leap of faith, this idea that you are saying yes not to a finished image; but to the experience itself, to the transformation I will undergo, to the mystery of what wants to come through. Collecting one of these is like owning a fragment of the journey, a piece of history made in that exact landscape, under that exact sky.
They will be exhibited in May at a higher price, but right now, before I depart, you have first access and preferred pricing. Here’s how it works:
You select your preferred tier and pre-purchase a painting (not yet made)
I make a the paintings on my trip to Iceland
I email everyone who purchased a painting on March 20th pictures of all the work, and you select which one you want within your tier, first come first serve.
I deliver or ship the art to you!
