Part of the Hidden Paths collection inspired by Scotland.

During my daily walks in Scotland, I discovered this cottage in a small valley surrounded by trees. I was immediately enchanted and knew I had to paint it!

In this painting, a small cottage sits nestled among towering trees, almost disappearing into the forest around it. I imagined it as a woodcutter's cottage, a place where someone might return after a long day outdoors, light a fire, and listen to the sounds of the woods.

I love the idea of a home that feels connected to the landscape, where the trees are part of the story and the surrounding forest becomes a sanctuary.

The painting is made with handmade iridescent watercolors on Acquarello watercolor paper, measuring 6.69 × 9.45 inches.

Unframed, packaged in a clear plastic sleeve and acid free cardboard backing.
